Christmas Lights 2025

To everyone who takes the time to put up Christmas lights, know that you are honouring the spirit of Christmas and keeping it shining brightly for families across our region. Driving around to look at the lights is a treasured Christmas tradition for many South Canterbury families.

This year, the Timaru Christmas Parade Trust and Temuka Boost are sharing the Christmas spirit and celebrating the homes that make South Canterbury shine with Christmas magic. Two Separate Christmas Lights Competitions: Timaru & Pleasant Point and Temuka. With their own judges, prizes, and winners, each community gets the chance to shine brightly this festive season.

To enter the competition and list your house below so people can come and enjoy your lights display, simply fill in This Form!

If you do not want to be in the competition, or you missed the competition, then don't worry, you can still list your house below so people can come and enjoy your lights display, simply List Your Lights!

51A Evans Street	Please come after 830, lights will be on from then till approxiamately 1130
The Complex 300 Hilton Highway	Daytime - Cafe @ The Complex for the Elf Photo Frame Nighttime - Simple lights setup up by several businesses
4 June Street	Lights are on after 10pm
24 Kauri St	Will be lit up from the 12th
St Philip and All Saints Church 124 Luxmoore Road, Marchwiel.	Lights on 8pm to 1am nightly during Advent.

19 Nile Street	Come usually after 9:30, all lights are solar, please wander the driveway, but dont go through any gates. Merry Christmas to all
70 Old North Road	Lights will be on from 9pm till 11pm and late on christmas eve.
4 Orbell Street
Radius Elloughton Gardens 1 Pages Road	Friday 12th Dec until Xmas Day, 9pm to midnight. Free hot chocolates from 9pm - 10pm on Friday 12th and 19th. Kids colouring in competition available from Reception until Wed 24th. Prizes to be won.
377 Pages Road	Display open from 8th Dec Walkthrough open from 8.30pm daily, Lights on at all times. Walkthrough closed Thurs 11th Fri 19th Wed 24th

15a Rathmore St	Best viewed from Maltby Ave, beside the Church
19 Rosebrook Road	Our lights are musical please walk down our drive to see and hear them. lights on from the 11th Dec at 9pm best viewed when dark
6 Sea View Terrace	Inflatables will be up weather permitting Lights turn up on daily from 9pm until 12
151 Selwyn Street	Best at dark due to solar lights. Lights up from 6th of December
42 Temple Crescent	Come from dusk onwards.

Temuka

27 Factory Road	Hi our lights are mainly solar so best seen when dark Thanks
24 Hamilton	Dusk to 11.00pm
60 Hayhurst Street North	Open at 8.30pm 3rd December to 24th December. Down driveway. Wheelchair accessible.
2 McNair Road	Light projector show this year. Please park your car either on grass opposite house or on Richard Pearce drive and watch from front fence will still be some solar displays as well best from 930pm
1 North Town Belt	Old house with solid lights Also a mancave full of awsome decorations just a quick walk down the driveway. Something for everyone. Open every night from second week in December
5 Ormsby street
67 Ormsby Street North	Solar lights, needs to be dark. Need to get out of car and look over the fence
